The road trip cards saved us somewhere around hour three when the kids started asking their own questions back. My shy seven-year-old actually volunteered a story about her teacher without me prompting, which never happens.

Dinner got weird in the best way — my seven-year-old actually answered the "what would you do with a million dollars" card with a ten-minute plan involving a goat. The cards are sturdy enough to survive being shoved in a backpack, and we've been pulling two or three a night since.

I grabbed these for a long road trip and my 7-year-old actually put her tablet down to answer the "what would you do if" cards. The questions are silly enough to get giggles but sneaky-deep too, like the one about what makes someone a good friend.
